How Ivy works
- Duration Blocks arrived in Block Out Version 318 with the note 'Clear them and activate their special power!'.
- Clearing a Duration Block triggers a special power rather than only freeing space.
- The power is temporary, so its benefit expires if you do not use it promptly.
DECISION PRIORITY
Strategy checks
- Prioritize clearing Duration Blocks when the activated power directly helps the next moves.
- Queue the moves you want the power to support right after the clear.
- Time the clear so the power is active during the hardest part of the route.
AVOID
Common mistakes
- Do not clear a Duration Block early if its power will expire before you need it.
- Do not waste the power on moves you could do without it.
- Do not treat Duration Blocks as ordinary blockers once the power matters.
